About
Buying exceptional whisky should not feel like guesswork, or a sales pitch.
Whisky Concierge is an independent advisory. No supplier decides what I recommend, and nothing is suggested because it needs to be sold. The bottle is chosen for the occasion, and nothing else.

The story
My father taught me early that whisky was about quality, not quantity. My first single malts, a Glenlivet 12 and a Balvenie 12, were poured slowly and explained properly, not just handed over. That has stuck with me ever since.
Whisky stayed a background interest until I got married, when it turned into something closer to a genuine pursuit. I read everything I could find, started organising community whisky fundraisers, and, unofficially at first, began buying and selling higher-end bottles, more for the thrill of tracking one down than anything else. That annual community whisky event is now in its fourth year, with over $377,000 raised. Whisky Concierge exists so people can buy exceptional whisky with independent judgement behind it, not a sales target.
The Presentation
Why I turn up in person
A rare bottle handed over in a bag is just an expensive bottle. Nobody in the room knows the distillery closed in 1983, or that the cask it came from no longer exists, or why this one and not another. So where it matters, I am there. I explain what it is, where it came from and why it was chosen for this person, and then it gets handed over. That part is not an add-on. It is most of the point.
